Reminders:
Our classes didn't do very well last week with with Road to Success. The blue class had only 47% of the students reading every day and the green class had 61%. These were the lowest scores in second grade and some of the lowest in the school. Help us meet our class goal of 80% of the class reading at least 20 minutes every day. Remember it is required that they read at least 5 days a week.
Look for a blue note coming home tomorrow talking about how to sign up for parent teacher conferences this year.
Language Arts:
We are talking about adjectives this week. We have already started making lists of adjectives describing different objects. We will be using adjectives to help our writing become more detailed and interesting.
We will be doing a writers workshop this week, we are writing Halloween stories.
