Our phonics /spelling pattern: vowel pattern long o sound: o, oa, ow
Comprehension skill: we will be taking about drawing conclusions. Think of it as reading in between the lines. This is sometimes hard for students to understand. As you are reading with your child, talk about what you read, what background knowledge they might have, and what they can conclude.
Conventions: We are learning about how we use verbs with singular and plural nouns. The rule is backward from what you would think. If a noun is singular there is an -s on the end of the verb. If the noun is plural there is not an -s at the end.
