Announcements:
We are still looking for parents that are interested in helping with the Valentine parties on February 13th. You can email me or the room parents. The parties will be from 1:30 until the end of the day. If you can't come but would be willing to donate supplies let me know as well.
For a heads up, next week there are only 3 days of school, but I am still planning on giving spelling and reading tests. That being said, I might not count the grades, but I do want to see how they do. Going into Unit 4 we have a lot of short weeks in February so feel free to study spelling words ahead of time. I have the whole unit available on the blog.
English:
We are on Unit 4 which is all about Our Changing World. The question of the week this week (Week 1) is How can familiar things help us with changes? We are reading a Froggy Fable which is a story about a frog that gets captured by a little boy and taken away from him home but eventually finds his way back home.
Spelling Patterns: Final syllable -le
Comprehension Strategy: Drawing conclusions
Conventions: This week we are talking about adjectives.
PE : a french game "1-2-3-soleil"
French : working on the presentating video. We are introducing a new daily work which wil help speaking and writing French.
Math: We will be testing for topic 8 this week and starting topic 9.
