Feb. 14- Valentine Party
Feb. 20 - No School
I sent home a copy of the Bobcat Award requirements last week. When your student finishes with the Personal Goals at home please send the paper back to school with the goal signed off and I will make a note of it at school. We have quite a few students that have already earned their award, remember the first cut off is February 8th.
Please make sure that all the homework that has been assigned as online math homework is finished by the end of the week. There are several students who have not been doing their assignments and this needs to be finished so we can move on and start the next unit.
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I understand last year the students brought Valentines for both classes, please note that we will be having two separate Valentine parties, and that your child will only need Valentines for their own class (27 or 28 students) if they choose to bring some to school. I do ask that students make some sort of Valentine box at home and bring it to school on the 14th. If you are interested in volunteering to come help with our party, you can contact me, or the room moms. Lori Larson (green class), Sarah Linton (Blue Class).
English: This week we are doing a writers workshop. We are doing a whole class story, a story in small groups, and then finally a story individually. We are going through the whole writing process and trying to improve our writing.
French sounds: eu, oeu
Science: We are talking about rocks, and how the natural world changes.
Math: we are starting geometry, and we are still reviewing counting money and subtraction with borrowing
