English:
This week our question of the week is: What can we learn by exploring space? We are reading an expository text called
Exploring Space with an Astronaut. Our phonics skill we are working on is the VCe (Vowel, Consonant, e) pattern. We are learning that when there is an e on the end of a word it turns the vowel into a long vowel sound. All of our spelling words follows this pattern.
Math:
In math we are reviewing addition and subtraction. Now is the time to dig out that paper with your student's user name and password for Pearson SuccessNet.
Look for online math lessons to do at home. These are little videos that students can watch in English, to reinforce the concepts learned at school.
French:
We are working on the
è / ê sounds.
Science:
We are continuing to learn about animals. We are learning the characteristics of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, birds and fish.
